To celebrate the anniversary of the 19th Amendment, artist Marilyn Artus is traveling the path of ratification through the capital cities of the 36 states that ratified the 19th Amendment. Marilyn is collaborating with a female artist and performer in all 36 states starting in June 2019 and ending in August 2020. Each artist has created a stripe that will be stitched in to the flag onsite in their capital city with Marilyn. They will be accompanied by a local performer (poets, musicians, historians, etc.). Maine musician Jenny Lou Drew will perform with Marilyn in Augusta.
