Exciting opening preview of the Maine State Museum's Suffrage Centennial Exhibit, with keynote by Maine's first female Governor, Janet Mills! Many state legislators attended the preview, including Speaker of the House, Sara Gideon, and Senate President, Troy Jackson. Original songs from the Suffrage movement filled the hall adorned with our striking hand painted centennial banner from ARRT. State Senator Cathy Breen read our Legislative Resolution to rousing cheers, and Governor Mills brought the crowd to its feet with her exhortation for more women in politics. Many thanks to Sheila McDonald, her team at the Maine State Museum and all of our wonderful supporters who attended the event!

The exhibit will be open through January 2020. Museum hours are 9am - 5pm Tuesday through Friday, and 10:00am - 4:00pm on Saturday.
