A benefit and a hit! 
Twelve Angry Men Read by Twelve Impassioned Women  at Portland Stage.

Like most 20th century courtroom dramas, Twelve Angry Men  had an all white, all male cast. But this year, as part of 12,000 Voices, a nationwide program that empowers women to use their voices and votes, all-female casts across the country took to the stage in April to read this classic tale of a fight for justice.

Portland Stage generously offered their version of the reading as a benefit for the Suffrage Centennial Collaborative, creating a wonderful combination of activism and theater. It was glorious to see so many talented women spanning - and commanding - the stage all night.
